HOME PAGE

The ARCHIVEpics INTERFACE HOME page is your starting point for all ProgressWEBCAM features.

The NAVIGATION TOOLBAR along the top of the page provides easy access to the ARCHIVEpics INTERFACE sub-pages, described in this tutorial.

The official project title appears below the navigation toolbar, and is followed by the name of the ProgressWEBCAM that captures the images displayed in the window below.

The date and time of the displayed image is determined by the calendar and scroll-down time list on the left. Days that have archived images available are underscored; the highlighted day indicates the currently displayed image, the highlighted time indicates the currently displayed image. The default image is the most recently captured image from the ProgressWEBCAM.

Roll your mouse over the image and a magnification box appears [this feature is DISABLED on lower resolution PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) ProgressWEBCAMS]. Click and drag your curser UP / DOWN to adjust the degree of magnification, and RIGHT / LEFT to adjust the size of the magnification box. Let go your settings and move the box throughout the image.

LOGO or NAME of the business or individual, for whom the ProgressWEBCAM and ARCHIVEpics INTERFACE is being hosted, is shown at left.

Current Site Conditions indicate up-to-the-minute weather at the ProgressWEBCAM location, including temperature, current weather graphic, plus low and high temperatures for the current day.

The ARCHIVEpics calendar permits display of archived images from the ProgressWEBCAM by selecting a month, then day in the calendar box ... you may then select a specific image from that day in the scroll-down window to the right.

If there are other ARCHIVEpics INTERFACE pages online for the same project, (or on other projects, but hosted by P-Tn for the same client), you may link directly to another INTERFACE by selecting one of the ProgressWEBCAMS identified below (maximum of four).

LIVE VIEW

Access to the ProgressWEBCAM LIVEview page is not available on all ProgressWEBCAM systems. If this capability is included in your ProgressWEBCAM agreement, a USERNAME and PASSWORD have been assigned, and will be required for you to access the LIVEview page. Please contact us directly for personal instructions on the functionality of the LIVEview page.

SLIDESHOW

The ARCHIVEpics INTERFACE SLIDESHOW automatically plays a series of images. The default presentation includes one image per day, beginning with the first day of operation for the ProgressWEBCAM, to the present. Slides are shown at quarter-second intervals.

Control buttons below the slideshow window allow manual control by permitting the viewer to PAUSE, then move to the PREVIOUS or NEXT image, one frame at a time ... then resume normal play.

A custom slideshow may be programmed by selecting a start date and a stop date of your choice. Select a slower frame rate interval, if desired. For slideshows that cover shorter periods of time (fewer days) you may include one HOURLY image, or ALL AVAILABLE images in your slideshow - although these options may slow the slideshow playback, or increase the download time.

SLIDESHOWS display all programmed images. An EDITED time-lapse ProgressCAMovie is available by selecting MOVIE in the navigation toolbar.

MOVIE [P-Tn ProgressCAMovie]

Our ProgressCAMovie is a TIME-LAPSE recording of the archived ProgressWEBCAM images. Each movie is carefully eddited to remove incompatible images, resulting in a high quality time-lapse recording of progress through the ProgressWEBCAM's operation period, to-date. ProgressCAMovies are typically updated quarterly.

A finished ProgressCAMovie will be deliverd at the end of the project.

EMAIL

EMAIL feature will only function for the ARCHIVEpics image selected on the HOME page.

The ARCHIVEpics EMAIL page permits convenient electronic delivery of the ARCHIVEpics image that has been selected, and is displayed, in the window on the HOME page. The YEAR / MONTH / DAY / TIME for the displayed image is shown in the text window at the left.

Enter the email address of your intended recipient in the first text line. Separate multiple email addresses using commas. Then enter your email address as the sender.

The subject line automatically propogates with identification of the ARCHIVEpics image displayed.

Include a message, if desired, and click SEND MAIL. Although the image displayed in the EMAIL window may be reduced to fit, the full size image will be emailed to the recipient(s).

PRINT

PRINT feature will only function for the ARCHIVEpics image selected on the HOME page.

Select PRINT in the NAVIGATION TOOLBAR and a separate window will open, displaying only the ARCHIVEpics image selected on the HOME page. User your browser to select your printer command and print the image only (without the INTERFACE graphics).

MAP

The ARCHIVEpics MAP button on the NAVIGATION TOOLBAR will link you directly to an interactive GOOGLE map, preset to the location of the PogressWEBCAM. Use GOOGLE MAPS functions to zoom in or out, locate adjacent road/highways/cities, or obtain directions to the site.

REFRESH

Clicking on the REFRESH button will cause the INTERFACE to update the calendar with any recently received ARCHIVEpics images captured by the ProgressWEBCAM.
